In partnership with the community, highly effective Buffalo Trail Public Schools’ staff will provide optimum learning in a safe, caring and supportive learning environment.

Our Priorities 

The board believes in the following priorities

 

  1. Focus on improving student achievement through an emphasis on literacy and numeracy skills;
  2. Ensuring students at all grade levels are provided with educational experiences that engage them in lifelong learning skills and allow them to work toward a choice of a career and/or post secondary pathway;
  3. Ensuring “at-risk” students are provided with appropriate programs and supports; and,
  4. Providing all students and staff with a safe, collaborative, healthy and innovative learning environment that values individual contributions and supports opportunities for growth.

Trustees, government representatives and other dignitaries, along with school students, staff and the Delnorte School Community were on hand to celebrate the grand opening of Delnorte School on February 26, 2010.

BTPS to Receive $296K in Funding for French as a Second Language Project

The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that the division will receive $296,000 over four years for its proposed French as a Second Language (FSL) project, under the Acting for the Future: Federal Action Plan for Official Languages in Education 2009 – 2013.

Budget Announcement Impacts BTPS

Letter to Parents Regarding Influenza-Like Illness Reporting

October 28, 2009

 

Superintendent of Schools Bob Allen has written a letter to parents outlining the steps BTPS has taken to ensure students, staff and parents are aware of the influenza-like illness (ILI) reporting guidelines (10% or higher absenteeism in schools).

Bus Run Cancellations

Find out what buses are running and which ones are not.  Some buses may have not notified our office at the time this was posted.  The bus contractor/driver will notify parents if they are not running.
